This Ardbeg Day, prepare to be catapulted into an alternate universe... A dimension where smoke swirls, flavour reigns, and whisky is everything.


Step through the portal during the Islay Festival and join us for a series of unforgettable Ardbeggian events on Saturday 31st May - powered by high gravity mashing, mischief, music, and malt.


Oh, and did we mention? It's also the 25th Anniversary of the Ardbeg Committee - a tribe so devoted, they'd drink Ardbeg to the moon and back!

We're rolling out the barrels for a maelstrom of Ardbeggian delights - expect Distillery tastings, epic company, cocktail alchemy, fiendish games, plenty of food and refreshments, and otherworldly events to tickle your peaty fancy.

ARDBEG DAY SILENT DISCO IN THE STILLHOUSE

Time: 11am, 12noon, 1pm, 2pm, 3pm (40 places per session)

MEATS, BEATS & PEATS - THE BIG BBQ

Fuel up and fire up – the Smokiverse ignites with our annual BBQ. Chef Daniel’s legendary BBQ meets peaty brilliance, served with a side of foot-stompin’ beats from Mark’s band.


BYOI & BYOB – Bring Your Own Instrument for a spontaneous jam session under the smoky stars and Bring Your Own Bottle to share with friends. It’s social. It’s sizzling. It’s SO Ardbeg.

WHISKY ON THE ROCKS: HOW TWO GEOLOGISTS BECAME ARDBEGOLOGISTS

Join us for something truly groundbreaking on Tuesday at the Festival!


Two longtime friends of the Distillery, Otto and Alistair – both expert geologists and proud Ardbeg devotees – are bringing their unique blend of passion, knowledge, and humour to this special event: Whisky on the Rocks.


With decades of experience exploring Islay’s wild terrain, these two know every boulder, outcrop, and sedimentary stone on the island. They’ll take you on a light-hearted, drop-in journey through the geology of Islay – from ancient rock formations like the 1,800 million-year old metamorphic rocks (the Rhinns Complex) to the Dalradian Rocks.


But that’s just the beginning…


In true Ardbeg spirit, they’ll be pairing their geological storytelling with a guided whisky tasting, matching drams to decades – sharing sips and stories that span 25–30 years of Ardbeg history.


Whether you’re a whisky lover, rock hound, or just looking for a uniquely Islay way to spend your morning, this is an event you won’t want to miss.
