Through the years, a warm welcome has always awaited our peaty pilgrims, notably in the form of a warming dram, as well as a friendly greeting from Jackie and Co. Whether you’re an Ardbeginner or a seasoned connoisseur, come and learn more about our wonderful whisky and explore our beautiful Distillery on one of our fascinating tours. Then enjoy a delicious bite to eat afterwards in the Old Kiln Café and have a look around the shop – you can redeem your tour voucher for £5 against any shop purchase over £30.

Choose from our range of engaging tours and tastings, there’s something for everyone!  (It’s advisable to book in advance to avoid disappointment.)

THE ARDBEG FULL RANGE TOUR & TASTING

A detailed tour of the Distillery followed by a tasting of five drams in the Chairman’s Study (Our core range of Ardbeg Ten Years Old, Ardbeg An Oa, Ardbeg Uigeadail and Ardbeg Corryvreckan, plus one limited expression chosen by your guide.)

Our biggest tour - complete with tales, timings, temperatures, traditions and tuns, finishing with a tasting in Warehouse 3 of some unusual samples and some old favourites.

From Islaylimpics to Under the Sea, taking in Archaeology, The World Cup, Our Bicentenary and Smuggling… Taste the flavours of our festival bottlings from 2012 to 2017!

TEN GREEN BOTTLES…

£40 per person / takes around 1 hour 30 mins
…sitting on the wall.  Which five bottles will accidentally fall?
Spin our cask end and see which five Ardbeg bottles we will pour!  
(Note: No bottles will be harmed in the duration of this tasting.)


SOMETHING A BIT DIFFERENT


THE ARDBEG BOG OFF WALK
1100hrs  Wednesday  April to August
£50 per person / takes around 4 hours
Take a hike over the hills, drink in the landscape, taste exquisite drams (chosen by your guide) enjoy a picnic lunch and round it off with a short tour of the Distillery.
Note: you will need sturdy footwear and weather appropriate clothing.  May be cancelled at short notice in the event of bad weather.

THE DISTILLERY, VISITOR CENTRE AND CAFÉ WILL BE COMPLETELY CLOSED ON:

The Distillery undergoes essential maintenance over part of December and all through January and we’re unable to offer tours.  The Visitor Centre and Café are open and Table Tastings are still available.
