Dr Bill Lumsden is one of many members of our team who have worked at Ardbeg long enough to remember the original. But, he’s perhaps the only one who can truly say he had a hand in making both of these whiskies. Together with Gillian Macdonald, Master Blender, they meticulously retraced their steps, seeking to replicate the iconic 17 Years Old flavour profile note by note.
