Our Visitor Centre offers a selection of drams, DIY tastings and cocktails, plus a wide range of whiskies and merchandise. 

It’s advisable to book tours or guided tastings in advance to avoid disappointment.

THE QUINTESSENTIAL ARDBEG TOUR

TIME: 10.30am

DAYS: Monday to Friday


£20 per person / lasts around 1 hour 15 mins

(Under 18s allowed / Drivers drams available)



An insightful tour walking you through the production process here at Ardbeg – learn all about milling, mashing, fermentation, distillation and maturation. On the way you’ll taste three drams from our Core Range (Ardbeg Ten Years Old plus two others chosen by your guide.) Informative, fun and engaging.


Due to essential maintenance over December and January, access to some parts of the tour may vary.

THE WEE TOUR WITH THE BIGGER TASTE

TIME: 3.00pm

Days: Monday to Friday


£40 per person / lasts around 1 hour 15 mins

(no under 18's / no drivers drams)



Start by learning all about our production process on a punctual tour of the plant. Then head to the smoky ARDBEG POD, for a tasting of four of our current, past and rarer Ardbeg whiskies. This is an opportunity for a quick tour, but also taste some of our more limited releases.

THE WINTER (WEAR YOUR WOOLLIES) TASTING

TIME: 1.00pm

DAYS: Monday to Friday


£50 per person / lasts around 1 hour 15 mins

(no under 18’s / no drivers drams)



Start in Warehouse 3 with a cask sample… then we’ll take you on a walk to visit other areas of the Distillery, tasting delicious whiskies as you go. Your guide will delve deep inside the liquid story of each of the four expressions you’ll taste during this experience. Nobody really comes to Islay for the weather, but they do for the whisky – so please wrap up nice and warm for this experience!

DIY TASTINGS

TIME: 10am to 4:30pm

DAYS: Monday to Friday


Available on-demand / no booking required. 


Come into the Visitor Centre and pick from one of our tasting flights – we’ll fleetingly talk you through the whiskies then leave you to enjoy them at your leisure. Great if you are on the move, wish an introduction to Ardbeg’s whiskies or if you want to try something a bit special!
