Restrictions have been brought in by the Scottish Government which mean that from Saturday 10th October until Sunday 25th October we are unable to offer tastings. However, we’re determined to still give you the best Ardbeg experience we can and so, in place of tastings, we’re temporarily offering a tutored nosing along with “to go” drams to allow you to enjoy those delicious whiskies in your own time. All other details, times etc remain the same.

We’re getting ready to reopen!

As you probably know the Distillery has been completely closed to visitors for the last few months, but we’ve been working hard on a plan to allow us to reopen in a way which allows us to keep our guests, and our Visitor Centre and production teams safe - all while enabling our stills to keep running and making our beautiful spirit!

We’re delighted to say that we will be open five days a week from 2nd September 2020.  From Wednesdays to Sundays we’ll offer pre-booked tastings, as well as the chance to pop in to the shop in our Visitor Centre.  For now, The Old Kiln Café will remain closed, and it will unfortunately also be a while before we’re able to offer any Distillery tours again.

The below tastings will be available daily from Wednesday to Sunday, will take around 45 minutes, and places will be strictly limited.  Bookings must be made at least 24 hours in advance – we regret we will not be able to accept walk ins for tastings, but booking is not required to visit the shop.

(We are currently only taking bookings for September and October, but will post details for November and December at a later date.)

10.30am          The Morning Core Range Tasting          £25
Ardbeg Ten Years Old, An Oa, Uigeadail, Corryvreckan and our newest addition, Wee Beastie.

12noon            The Committee Bottling Tasting           £50
Five drams chosen from our library of Committee Bottlings – selected by your tasting host.

1.30pm            The Old, Mature and Unusual Tasting   £75
A dram each of Ardbeg 22 Years Old, 23 Years Old, Traigh Bhan 19 Years Old, plus a dram from one of our Single Cask bottlings, and a very special, unreleased, only to be tasted at the Distillery, cask drawn sample.

3pm                 The Afternoon Core Range Tasting       £25
Ardbeg Ten Years Old, An Oa, Uigeadail, Corryvreckan and our newest addition, Wee Beastie.

If you’d like to book any of the above, just email distillery@ardbeg.com and let us know the date and time that works for you, along with how many people you’d like to book for.  When we confirm your booking, we’ll send you a secure link to pay in advance, along with details of all the safety guidance we’ll follow and that we’ll ask you to follow.

We can’t wait to get back in to our Visitor Centre again and to welcome visitors to our beautiful Distillery.  Even though the experience will be a bit different from our usual offering, a very warm welcome awaits you!

Some things to note:
We’d love to welcome you every day of the year, but there are some dates we have to close – please check HERE for details.

Our Visitor Centre is fully accessible for those with limited mobility, but please do contact us if you want to check any details for your visit.

We adore all dogs (our mascot is Shortie after all!) but we’ve found our busy Visitor Centre and Café aren’t the best place for them so we’re only able to welcome them in the grounds of the Distillery, not the buildings.
