Laid down in the year 2000 and matured in Oloroso sherry and bourbon casks, Ardbeg Vintage Y2K is intensely sweet and classically smoky, with notes of lemon balsam, heather honey and creosote.

This whisky was laid down in the year 2000, when the world was still reeling from the millennium bug frenzy but Ardbeg was entering an era of regeneration.
Ardbeg Vintage_Y2K 24 Years Old is the second release of this ultra-rare millennium spirit. Matured in bourbon casks, with a portion downloaded into Amontillado sherry casks to be finished, a first for Ardbeg. This transmits subtle notes of creamy toffee, flowering blackcurrants and almonds, with flickers of damp moss and graphite. It’s astonishing power surges on the palate, as woodsmoke merges with cinnamon spice, linseed oil and eucalyptus.
