Banana Bread. Peaches. LIME.
THE SECOND CHAPTER IN THE ARDBEG ANTHOLOGY
ARDBEG ANTHOLOGY THE UNICORN'S TALE
Matured for 14 years in a marriage of Madeira and bourbon casks, The Unicorn's Tale is a dram that appears sweet in nature but hides a smoky twist not to be underestimated. Powerful smoke and zesty lime canter across the palate, with soft barley, menthol and clove lingering in a whimsically smoky finish. The legend traces back to a dark night after a fête at the Distillery, when the clip-clop of hooves echoed around the yard. Workers ventured out to investigate — and came face to face with a horn-silhouetted creature rearing up against a full moon. Was it Rory, the Distillery's notoriously greedy Shetland Pony? Or Scotland's national animal, spotted on Islay at last? The questions remain.
