Why is Fermutation not available in my country?

It’s a tricky thing whisky, especially one like Fermutation that came about by accident.  So, there’s only a very limited amount available.  The capacity of the Distillery has very recently increased however, so in years to come there will be more Ardbeg to go round – it’ll take a wee while though.
And, before you ask, shipping directly is even more tricky, so we release locally.

 

How much is it?

Around €180 or equivalent locally.

Is it a one-off release?

We probably couldn’t make this again even if we tried!  It’s definitely a one off.

49.4% alc/vol

What is the Ardbeg Committee?

A global group of like-minded individuals who have vowed to never let the doors of the Distillery close again (it’s hard to believe, but there was a time in the 80s and 90s when the future of Ardbeg was distinctly uncertain).
