...We don`t like to blow our own trumpets too much but some exciting news has blown across the pond to us here at Ardbeg. At the San Fransisco World Spirits Competition which took place on March 21st and 22nd in downtown San Fransisco Ardbeg Distillery came pretty much top of the medal table. Our gold medal podium places were for Uigeadail, Airigh nam Beist 1990 and Supernova. the silver medallist was our Ardbeg 10 years old. These awards come hot on the heels of our awards for `Best Whisky in the World` for 2 years in a row, as judged by Jim Murray in his Whisky Bible. In 2008 Ardbeg 10 years old won the honour and this year saw Uigeadail claim top spot. We are very proud of all these achievements.
